Outstanding sandwiches, ground beef and service! Love this place. Everyone is always is super friendly and quality is the best.

First class friendly butchers with a wide selection of excellent meat. In addition to specialty thick cut bacon, and pre-brined tri-tip, the thick cut steaks are beautiful. Around Thanksgiving they offer a huge already smoked turkey, and all year round they have very reasonably priced frozen duck. Let's not forget that there's a yummy deli making gloriously meaty sandwiches, with very casual outdoor picnic benches to eat onsite.

Before you even walk in the door you have to grab the door handles crafted from butcher knives, so you know what they do here, and, boy do they do it well! They have a impressive array of fresh beef and pork and the display of the sausage they make is overwhelming. I got just what I needed for a little Philly Cheesesteak competition before Thanksgiving and am already planning a trip back to explore more of what they have to offer.

Thank you to all the people who take orders. You have been most helpful and friendly. Today In asked for 2 fillet steaks. I mentioned I had ordered fillets in a couple really nice restaurants and the steaks were really chewy. Tonight, I cooked the fillets in olive oil, butter and a sprig of rosemarry. as the steaks were cooking, I basted them with the oil/butter mixture. after they rested for 5 min. We devoured them with baked potato and vege's. We thought we had been transported to another gourmet universe. The steaks melted in our mouths as should fillets do. All their meat is above average in quality. The preseasoned prime rib roast is to die for. A Christmas treat for the past 20 years. For my family. Their ham is outstanding and a welcome addition to the thanksgiving table. If anyone wants top quality meat, I strongly suggest Freedom Meat Locker.

Been hearing about this spot for the longest time and I finally got to go! It's in the middle of no where in the small town of Freedom California. It's literally a butcher shop with about 20 parking spaces outside, a clean bathroom and 8 picnic tables. They can really make this place even more nicer for people to spend more time here unless they are purposely doing that so people just grab and go. Either way, it is nice of them to have these things for us while we visit. I did see dogs on here so I brought my dog. No one seemed to mind or say anything while I waited in line. They have two lines. One for the deli and one for meat. The meat line was non existent. I left my bf in line and just looked around inside. They had various meats for sale. From raw meats, sausages, beef jerky, and beer! The butchers were quick to ask if anyone needed help. I also noticed they had smoked beef bones for dogs for $2.50 a lb! To my surprise, they don't weight much! My frenchie who I had with me had no interest in the bones. I ended up bringing it home for my pitbull who devoured it in less than 2 minutes. The wait for the sandwiches were so long. Good thing was that we had no where planned to go after. It took a good 45 minutes to get our sandwich after we ordered. Not sure if this is normal or overly busy for a random Wednesday. Sandwiches are affordable and delicious. I won't say they are huge or stuffed, but they tastes great! We also got some sausages togo which we will be grilling this weekend!

Sandwiches here are super delicious all made with quality, fresh ingredients. Prices are amazing for the amount/portions that they give you. I was actually most impressed with how well the sandwich was put together. Everything was super compact, easy to hold, and not messy at all. They do take a little longer to make the sandwiches and I heard it gets busy here so I definitely recommend calling ahead! I cant speak on the butcher meat itself but I have no doubt about everything being top notch with all the awards they have lined up on display inside. Will definitely come back for lunch!

We stopped at Freedom Meat Locker for the FIRST time and it was AWESOME! I absolutely love old school butchers and delis like these. I'm glad some things never change. They have pretty much every kind of meat possible, a deli, PIE, and the nicest people. We bought salami, beef jerky, and 3 different kinds of smoked sausages (bacon cheeseburger, garlic artichoke, and linguica). Karen, the lunch lady, gave me advice on how to cook the sausages. She recommends ginger ale. She was SO SWEET. And the sandwiches were delicious! I got the BBQ brisket on dutch crunch with avocado and pepper jack. Hubby got the tri-tip and it was really good, too! I loved the spicy mesquite marinade. We will definitely be back. I can't wait to get a grill because they have a lot of marinated chicken you can buy. We couldn't wait and ate half our sandwiches in the car while they were still hot!

It was lunchtime and my sister said there's a really good sandwich spot let's go. I missed the exit and made a u-turn and was trying to figure out if my sister was bringing me to someone's house till I saw the parking lot and the entrance. I walked in and was greeted and asked to wait a minute. I browsed the menu and when it was my turn I went for the hot pastrami and Swiss on Dutch crunch with everything but the pepperoncini. My sister got a turkey bacon avocado. Which sounded delicious too but I love my pastrami! I got my number on the receipt and browsed the rest of the store. I found so many things and wanted to bring everything back home! All cuts of meats, seafood, Canadian bacon, there's just so much to choose from. I was approached by someone when I was browsing asking if I needed help which was great but this visit I was just here for a sandwich. They carry some really cool unique items even a Coca Cola Ultimate that's limited to one per customer so I got one of those too. After about 7-10 minutes my sandwich was ready and I was on my way. My sandwich had a hefty portion of pastrami and was flavorful. The Dutch crunch wasn't as crunchy as I expected it to be but was good! Didn't cut the roof of my mouth which is always a plus. My sister sandwich looked delicious too but I was too busy enjoying mine to take a bite from hers. It was a good portion of meat I wish it had a bit more lettuce but that's personal preference. The space is full with fridges of meats, drinks, and other items. There's a deli area with fresh meats and other items. There's the area where the sandwiches are being made. A lot of customers came in went while I ordered and waited for my sandwich. There's a reason a lady told me I would never eat Togo's again after having a sandwich from here. And as a lover of sandwiches this is one good sandwich! The service was friendly and efficient. They work hard and as quickly as they can to prepare it all. There's a parking lot right out front. Didn't see any tables to enjoy there but looks more like a grab and go spot.

MENU AND FOOD: FML offers a variety of meats and sausages for sale and for sandwiches! SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Service was friendly and efficient. They have limited outdoor seating. Their indoor decor is plain and simple. PARKING: They have limited parking and are located at the end of a driveway. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: We had their skirt steak marinated in wine and spice on dutch crunch, which was delicious! The meat was tender and well flavored, but the bread was soft and without crunch, which is not what is typical of dutch crunch. We also had their sausage sandwich on sourdough roll, which was just alright, and the sausage casing was a bit tough to eat as a sandwich. We will also be back to buy meats to cook at home!
